No one ever said that {grocery bags} had to be green!
I fell in love with this utility fabric and decided to try my hand at creating a {reusable bag}.
It is nice and roomy and embellished with a pretty hand crafted peony, dyed velvet and canvas leaves.
I've posted lots of photos -
{enjoy!}

{a color challenge}
Creating with color is always a challenge for me.
I {LOVE}white.
It is no secret...so when I fell upon a artistic challenge that required using a color, I was intrigued.
I {LOVE}white.
It is no secret...so when I fell upon a artistic challenge that required using a color, I was intrigued.
Oddly enough the color we were to use in this challenge was {GRAY}.
I love gray...It is almost white...
...and gray paired with white is always nice...
...but when I stirred {BROWN} into the mix it was simply lovely...
...another part of this challenge was {STAMPING}...
...I don't generally stamp much anymore, and with this I realized the great and simple detail a good stamp can bring to a project...
...the pop of a {JET BLACK} ink brought life to the cards' otherwise simple palette...
...using scraps of gray to create a sweet banner adds charm & whimsy...
...there is always room for detail...faux pearls are perfect here...
...since this card was created using a brown paper sack, I took remnants of another and made a coordinating envelope...
...sweet vintage style...
...so a color challenge...
...something I thought would be difficult...
...turned out to be something beautiful!
